Gei Tai

Yesterday, I went to my grandmother's house to play. I was very disappointed as Jowell was not there. I played DS games from afternoon to evening.

At night, I went to watch a Ge Tai. Some people danced and sang on the stage. After a while, each of us bought an ice cream, It was very tasty. Then, we met my grandfather. He was drinking beer. I was very scared that he might feel drowsy. We also met my mother's old neighbour, Shan Di, who kept kissing my sister, May Way.

It was an interesting day.

YOG Athletics

As I do not need to go to school on Thursday and Friday because of Primary 6 PSLE Oral Exams, my mother brought me to watch the YOG Athletics games at Bishan Stadium.

It was quite noisy because everyone was cheering. My favourite sport events were the hammer throwing and the running. During the Men's 400m race, there were many hurdles. An athlete tripped on a hurdle and fell. Despite of his injury and being last in the race, everybody cheered for him. He never give up and braved to complete the race.

It was a marvellous day.

Picture Composition - School Carnival

Micheal's and Sally's school was celebrating their anniversary by having a school carnival. There were many stalls with exciting games.

Sally went to play the ring tossing game and it was very difficult so Micheal gave her support. Although Sally tried her best, she did not win any prize. Then Micheal went to play the fishing game. He almost win a prize because he only caught eight out of ten fishes.

After a while, they felt tired and thirsty. So, each of them bought a stick of hot dog and a packet of fizzy drink. Then, they went to the bouncy castle and saw three friends jumping happily on it. They walked to the sick bay and saw a dizzy boy resting on a chair. He might felt dizzy after playing on the bouncy castle.

Picture Composition - Broken Window

John, Ben and Mark were playing football outside their neighbour's house. John was too excited and kicked hard at the ball. The ball flew high and hit the window of their neighbour's house. The window shattered into pieces. John panicked and his face turned as white as a sheet. Ben and Mark were helpless. Luckily no one was injured.

John ran home to confess to her mother of what just happened.

In the evening, John, Ben and Mark apologised to their neighbour.

Show And Tell - My Mummy

This is my Show And Tell - My Mummy:

Good morning Mdm Gan and friends. Today I'm going to talk about my mummy.
My mummy is a superwoman.
She can do so many things in a day.
She is an early riser. Early riser means to wake up very early.
She wakes up at 6 o'clock every morning to prepare me for school.
Then, she will have to deal with so many unfinished chores at home.
Unfinished chores means house work not done.
I helped once by mopping the floor.
In the evening, she will have to ensure that I complete my homeworks.
To ensure means to make sure.
She is a great cook too.
Her fried rice is out of this world!
Out of this world means the best of the best.
And when my three years old sister, May Way, returned from the childcare centre, she has to split her attentions between us.
The only time when she can take a breather is when my father returned home from work.
To take a breather means to take a short break.
So, that makes her my hero, my superwoman and my mummy.
Thank you for listening to my Show And Tell.

YOG and Avatar The Last Airbender

On Wednesday, I had some hives on my body. It was very itchy. When my father returned home, he saw my hives and quickly brought me to the Bishan Family Doctor.

I celebrated National Day in my school on Friday. We did some drawings and colouring. We were given an hour recess time. I went to my locker to take the ball but it was not there. It went missing!

Yesterday, we were fortunate to witness the YOG Torch Relay Run. There were a red and a blue buses loaded with people. They were happily cheering for the YOG by hitting the clap sticks. I also saw some runners running behind the buses. One of them was holding a flamed torch and I bet he must be very proud and honoured.

In the evening, my father brought me to Jurong Point's cinema to watch "Avatar The Last Airbender". I was fascinated by Aang's super powers.

I have written something about my mother. Here it is:

My mother is a furious woman. She always scolds me when I am rude to her. I admire her as she is one of the best chef I had ever seen. She can run as fast as me. I knew that when I was in K2 because she showed me all the trophies she won. She always take cares of me when she is free. She likes to read newspapers because she wants to know what is happening in the world. Although she always scolds me, she will always love me. She is a lovely and kind mother.

Savannah

Last Thursday, everyone in my class was divided into groups of six to make Savannah models. My group's members were Darrel, Keane, Junn Yee, Chi Weng and Glen. We used plasticine to build our Savannah. Mdm Gan gave us a sheet of cardboard to construct the Savannah on it.

On Friday, I had Show and Tell and the topic was "My Best Friend". Mdm Gan advised me to speak louder the next time.

My mother bought a ball for me to play during 10 mins break on Thursday. After my Chinese Orchestra lesson, I was playing with my ball on the stairs and accidentally hit a photo frame. The photo frame shattered into pieces on the ground. My legs turned jelly because Chen Laoshi was right in front of me when it happened. I apologised to Chen Laoshi and promised her and my parents that I will never do that again.
