New Beyblades

Yesterday, my father bought 4 Beyblades for me at Ghim Moh. I was overjoyed and thanked him profusely until he said "That's enough". My mother told me not to bring them to my grandmother's house because Jowell will want it too. I refused to listen to her and brought it along. Jowell has one of the same Beyblade as me. We started battling the Beyblade together. Jowell won the first match but I won the rest of the matches.

I had an unforgettable day.

Beyblade Final Showdown

Hassler: Ecossoise

It was raining cats and dogs yesterday. The rain failed to dampen our spirit to go to United Square for the Beyblade Showdown. However, there was no more vacancy for the Beyblade Tournament when we reached in the afternoon. My father promised to buy a set of Beyblade as my Christmas present. At first, I have doubt in him. But he gave me the assurance that he will keep his promise. My father then brought me to Popular Book Store while my mother brought May Way to the toilet. My father allowed me to browse through the books on my own.

When May Way and my mother returned, we went to Toys 'R' Us. The shop was filled with rows after rows of toys. I spotted a box of stretchable spiky balls that looks like hedgehog. I also saw Beyblades placed at the entrance. Then we decided to have late lunch at Texas Chicken. We ate a super big fish burger. While we were having our meals, we saw Jin Liang walked pass. We waved at him but he did not see us.

After our meals, we took the lift to the carpark. I did not walk properly and fell. I injured my right knee and learnt a painful lesson. I must be more conscious while walking.

Prize Giving Day

I was 3rd in the class for my examinations so last Thursday I need to go to my school to receive awards. To my surprise, many students did very well in their examination. I was presented with a bronze trophy and a certificate with my name written on it. I was over the moon when the Guest-of-Honour, Miss Milly Tan presented the awards to me.

There were six different types of performance during the prize giving ceremony. The first performance was the Chinese Orchestra. They performed very well. The second performance was the School's Symphony. They were as good as the previous performance. Next was the Primary 1 and 2 performance. My friend, Jin Liang, was one of the dancer. I cheered for him by clapping loudly. The forth performance was the School's Band. They played a very lovely Christmas song for us. The fifth performance was the School's Choir. They sang beautifully although the sound system was not working properly. Jin Rae's elder brother, Shawn, was singing too. Finally, the Primary 5 and 6 dancers performed an incredible number. The audience were full of praise for their excellent performance.

This is the happiest moment I ever had.

Kota Kinabalu

I went for a trip to Kota Kinabalu last Saturday. We flew there by Air Asia. We check-in to Le Meridien Hotel. As it was already very late, we have to go to bed as soon as we unpacked our luggage.

The next day, we went to the Sunday Flea Market. It was packed like a tin of sardines! There were many stalls selling vegetables, pets, toys, plants and souvenirs. We bought 18 keychains for RM30. At night, we watched a movie called "The Karate Kid"which my father bought in the hotel room.

On the third day, I was quite upset because we have to go to another hotel called Nexus Resort Karambunai. But it turned out to be as fun as Le Meridien Hotel. I walked around the beach with my parents and sister. We saw some corals, seashells and tiny crabs. My father encouraged me to feel the waves. He held my hand because I was scared at first although the water was shallow. At night, we ate instant noodles as we were hungry.

On the fourth day, we had breakfast at the Kingfisher's Restaurant. I ate omelet with hams and mushrooms and it was very delicious. After our breakfast, we went back to our room to change into our swimming costumes. We had so much fun at the beautiful swimming pool. At night, we went to the Game Room to play Pool. My father taught me how to hold the cue but it was quite heavy.

On the final day, we tried Asian food for breakfast. The restaurant was not that crowded so we could easily find a table. My father and I went to the beach again while my mother and sister were busy packing up to prepare for check-out. We wrote some letters on the sand and also saw some fishes in the sea. Unfortunately, we did not manage to catch any fish because they were fast swimmers. I was whopping with joy when it was time to go back to Singapore because I missed my country very much.

I had a fruitful trip and thanked my father profusely.

Last Day of School

Today is our last day of school. Before recess, Chen Lao Shi gave each of us a packet of Cheezals, Twistees and Mamee. After recess, Mdm Gan allowed us to watch the movie "Cars". Chen Lao Shi also allowed us to watch "Sun Wu Kong".

I let the cat out of the bag by telling Russel I am in the top three position of the class. There are Prize Giving rehearsals on the 8th and 10th November but I can't attend because I will be in Kota Kinabalu, east of Malaysia.

I had the most pleasant experience with Catholic High and my class, Primary 1 Patience. I had a wonderful year with my teachers and twenty-eight classmates.

Chinese Speech and Drama

Yesterday, I watched a video about my Chinese Speech and Drama performance. It was called "小猪不冲凉". During the performance, I was worried at first because I thought we will perform badly. But, after the performance, 陈老师said that we had done a good job. So, I was very proud of myself. My family members were proud too. I was in cloud nine. After the performance, we walked around the school with our lanterns. It was very exciting. I had a memorable day.
